About the Writer

During a circuitous life, Robert Weibezahl had a long career in book publishing, worked in various production capacities in film and television, taught literature, wrote a monthly book review column, was an at-home dad, co-founded a theatre company, published two novels, two non-fiction books, and numerous short stories, and was a champion on Jeopardy!. He began writing plays in earnest about a decade ago and since has written some fifty theatrical works that have been performed across the U.S., internationally, and as audio productions. Full-length plays include And Lightning Struck: Mary Shelley and the Curse of Creation, Which Way the Wind Blows, Hold On, Ghosts of Glencolumbkille, Discards, Lavender Blue, and Jackrabbit’s Flunky. His short plays and monologues have been produced more than sixty times and his much-produced short, Gown, is included in The Best 10-Minute Plays 2023. A native New Yorker, he lives in southern California and is a member of the Dramatists Guild.
